Description

To celebrate the birth of Japanese whisky, Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo and his team of blenders challenged themselves to rethink the Art of Blending for Hibiki. They were determined to use the legendary Japanese oak
of Mizunara as a mark of respect to Japanese heritage. Traditionally, the sherry cask has been the enhancer
of Hibiki, giving it its gorgeous appearance. For this blend, however, Shinji Fukuyo set aside the sherry cask to curate a different kind of Harmony: one led, for the first time, by Mizunara. The final blend is an exploration of how a single detail can alter the whole alchemy, reassessing and rebalancing harmony.
